The U.S. Standards Group on Quality, Environment, Dependability, Statistics and Social Responsibility (QEDSS) consists of the members and leadership of organizations concerned with the development and effective use of generic and sector-specific standards on quality control, assurance and management; environmental management systems and auditing, dependability and the application of statistical methods.

Within each technical discipline, there is a technical advisory group (TAG) focused on representing U.S. interests in the development of international standards. There is also a corresponding ASC Z1 subcommittee focused on national standards in that area as well as adoptions of international standards.
